Anon1 - I don't want to re-litigate everything I've wrote because I think you all know where I stand. One development that makes sense will not turn Long Island into Queens or anything else, and to think otherwise doesn't make sense to me.

As for Willets Point, nobody knows what is going on since the people who know are not talking to the press. Queens has a laundry list of problems that the Lighthouse will never have; those of you expecting a slam dunk will be sorely disappointed.

On Dec. 7th Willets Point becomes real.

Great read as always. The fact that Wang hasn't said anything AT ALL in the press, keeping to his word, and the only thing we've heard from Murray is, "Things are going smoothly" tells me that there actually MIGHT be productive talks going on.

Thanks for the hat tip. I'm glad you were able to visit Town Square. And I'm envious of you, Mr. Anthony C. I would LOVE to live in Vegas. Preferrably Summerlin. Anyone who's interested in what the Coliseum property could look like if the politicians ever get out of the way should check out Town Squares website. Been there twice and had the pleasure of going to their amazing state of the art RAVE movie theater that makes Westbury Stadium look like, well, poop. And all of it has, as you have stated Nick, my friend, WALKABILITY!!! Put that property around the redone Coliseum and LI will start to change for the better. I still look at that underground "entrance" and wonder what could have been if they hadn't compromised so many years ago, so many times.

Nick, town square is truly something else. Been there 3 times since I moved out to vegas last november. The 1st time I went there with my mom I told her that this was almost exactly like what will happen with the lighthouse project back on long island. I'm telling ya it would truly be something special for long islanders to have when the lighthouse hopefully gets approved and built. Plus having the coliseum completely refirbished as the centerpiece would make this long island's crown jewel. The crown jewel it should have had a long time ago.
