According to the official Lighthouse Project blog, the Town of Hempstead has officially scheduled the re-zoning hearing:
We are back at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse on Tuesday, September 22, for 3 sessions:
9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
You know I'll be there live-tweeting away and recovering, since I'm due to get in on a red-eye from Las Vegas that morning.
The Town is expected to vote on official scheduling for the re-zoning hearing at the regularly-scheduled town meeting on Tuesday, September 8. Barring something unforeseen, I'll be there, and I will share everything with you that I can.
How topical - this blog, and others, were wondering what changed and why we had not received a re-zoning hearing yet (or anything else). Glad to have that answered.
UPDATE: Chris Botta reminds us that this hearing is the same date as the exhibition game in Kansas City, which Charles Wang planned to attend. Well-played, Kate....
